Violent far-right extremism

Formal financial sector

The formal financial sector refers to using regulated financial institutions and systems, such as banks, investment firms and financial markets, by violent extremist groups or individuals to transfer money for their activities.

For example, Saint Michael’s Choir from Bosnia and Herzegovina shares their bank account details directly on their Facebook page to collect donations, using identity-based networks and crowdfunding as fundraising methods.33
